My name is Tom, and I work in the telecommunications industry in varying roles which attract the Network Engineer title.
Ive been working in this industry since the early 2000's, and I love to build and run networks. In my spare time I tinker with network equipment and software, much preferring real, physical equipment to virtualised. Gotta have those blinky lights!
Through this blog I plan to share my thoughts, ideas, adventures and other things that I hope will be found informational or helpful. As the name of the blog suggests this will cover, invariably, topics of a physical and logical nature, but probably focussing mostly on OSI layers 2 and 3.
